How to Commission a Pet Portrait

What does it look like to commission a Custom Painted Pet Portrait?

I realized as much as I know my process, all you prospective clients do not. It came to my realization that it takes a real leap of faith to trust that the artwork will turn out exactly what you hoped and more!

So I’ve broken down my system so you can know exactly what to expect.

It all begins when you fill out the order form on my site.

Within a few days I will send you a follow up email requesting the photo of the pet you would like me to reference (feel free to send multiple if you cannot decide!)

Then I will create a few digital mock ups to indicate how I plan to paint the pet along with a few background color options

Here is an example of the digital mock up I created for this client’s dogs. We changed the background a few times before deciding on a “sky blue” color.

Once you are happy with the arrangement, I will start painting!

Painting will take 2-4 weeks depending on the time of year.

Once the painting is completed, I will email you a photo of the finished piece.

After any alterations are made and you are 100% satisfied with the outcome, I will mail you the painting and request payment.

Things to note: I do not charge an additional fee for shipping or for alterations on the painting. Each painting comes matted and protected in an archival clear plastic slip.

Truly customer satisfaction is my top priority. I want you to be over the moon with every commission I create for you!
